First Encounter
Two days later, Long Ke Yi’s uncle helped him complete the transfer procedures.
Long Ke Yi first reported to the school teachers’ office, then went to the headmaster to get his books, and then took the key to the boys’ dormitory.
He had very few friends in his previous life, and some of his best friends broke up with him because of Ji Yan Tang. He decided to make more friends in this life, so now he chose to live on campus.
The M University dormitory was a four-person room. He opened door 506 on the fifth floor and saw that the dormitory was nice and clean. There were already three classmates living there, but no one was in the dorm because classes were still on.
Long Ke Yi put his luggage on the side of the empty bed, took out his bedding, and made the bed. He had learned these skills in his previous life after living with Ji Yan Tang for a year. Ji Yan Tang didn’t like strangers, so he would only allow part-time workers to clean the house regularly after moving together. Instead, he was the one to clean their private rooms and cook their meals. Even though Ji Yan Tang would seldom return – he could count the number of meals they had eaten together, – he still enjoyed cooking.
After storing the toiletries and coming out of the bathroom, he saw his three roommates return. They were surprised to see the beautiful boy coming out of the washroom.
Seeing this, Long Ke Yi chuckled and greeted them. “Hello, I am your new roommate. My name is Long Ke Yi.”
“Oh, hehe, you are the student who just reported in. We’ve heard from the headmaster,” a cheerful-looking teenager standing by the door said with a smile.
“By the way, my name is Qi Yu.”
Sitting on a chair by the window, a handsome and indifferent young man looked up at Long Ke Yi and nodded. “Ye Qing Ran.”
Another young man with big eyes, dressed in simple clothes, smiled at Long Ke Yi. “Hello, I am Li Jie.”
“Do you need help?” Li Jie asked.
“Thank you, I’m all set,” Long Ke Yi smiled while shaking his head.
He greeted the three roommates and then left the dormitory. Walking on the path, he realized that after studying for years at the university, he had never really walked around the campus.
M University was divided into several colleges. The Economics Department, where he had once studied, and the current Design Institute were the most professional and best in the country. The university covered a vast area, so the school had special electric cars for students. Each college was separated from the other, and they were far away, so the chance of an encounter with Ji Yan Tang and his friends was very slim. This was also why he decided not to transfer to another university.
Tired of walking, he sat down on a bench next to the garden pool in the corner of the Design Institute. He put his hands on the back of the bench and leaned back lazily with his eyes closed.
Although Lan Mo had graduated from the Economics Department of M University, he had never visited the entire campus, so he got lost while taking a shortcut.
Passing by a garden, he tried to find someone to ask for directions, when he noticed a young man sitting on the opposite bench. The teenager was wearing a handmade white shirt and casual black slacks and was sitting with his legs crossed. He had white skin, a slender figure, and exquisite features. The boy was very beautiful without being feminine.
A few beams of sunlight fell on the young man through the shade of the tree. His eyes were gently closed, and he was leaning against the back of the bench in a lazy posture. He looked relaxed and elegant, exuding a clean smell as if all the angles were self-restrained.
Lan Mo felt his heart throb, but as soon as he wanted to walk over, he was stopped by a shout from behind.
“Cousin, my brother, ah, why did you come here? You are killing me,” Yu Zi Yang said while gasping.
“I wanted to take the trail, but I got lost,” Lan Mo said while turning to look at his distant cousin.
Yu Zi Yang raised his eyebrows, widened his eyes, and smiled at Lan Mo. “How could you get lost? I always thought you were omnipotent.”
He admired his cousin. His ability and courage were the best among the family’s younger generation. They were not very close, but he deliberately wanted to get closer to Lan Mo, and this time the opportunity presented itself.
Lan Mo chuckled, and Yu Zi Yang continued. “Cousin, let’s go. You are not only the biggest sponsor of this event, but you are also an enduring figure at M University. The student union leaders are waiting for you at the Academic Affairs Office. You are their idol.”
Lan Mo nodded and turned around, but the teenager was no longer on the nearby bench. If not for his still throbbing heart, he would have thought that it was all just an illusion.
“Let’s go.” Lan Mo frowned, a little displeased by Yu Zi Yang’ sudden appearance.
This time, he sponsored the “Economic Summit” for the M University Student Association purely on a whim. He didn’t expect to meet here a young man who would get him so excited, so thinking about it, he didn’t hate Yu Zi Yang too much.
Long Ke Yi was enjoying such a peaceful time when he heard Yu Zi Yang’s voice. Yu Zi Ye was a close friend of Long Ke An and Ji Yan Tang, and he also had an average relationship with Yu Zi Yang. At this time, he didn’t want him to tell them about his transfer.
He saw Yu Zi Yang’s kind expression when talking with a tall man. He had his back to him, so he couldn’t see his face. Although he found it strange that the arrogant Yu Zi Yang could talk so enthusiastically and even flatteringly to that man, he still left in a hurry to avoid being recognized.
Long Ke Yi had been in the school for over a week, and in the blink of an eye, it was the weekend. When he came out of the bathroom, he heard the constant ringing of his mobile phone on his computer desk.
He picked up the phone and, seeing ‘Hua Hua’ on the screen, his face showed a touch of warmth.
Hua Hua was Ling Lan Lan’s nickname. She was born prematurely, so she was always frail. Her mother went to the monastery to offer incense, and a Taoist monk named her Ling Hua Hua, saying they could change the name when she was 10. In the meantime, this name would protect her health.
From the time she was called Hua Hua, her health gradually improved. At the age of 10, her family changed her name to Ling Lan Lan, but they still called her Hua Hua, which completely annoyed her.
Hua Hua was his only female friend and the only one who never gave up on him in his last life. She had often tried to persuade him to dump Ji Yan Tang, but seeing as she had failed to convince him, she could only silently support him. He thought, the only friend who would be sad after his death was Hua Hua.
He answered the phone while wiping his hair. “Hey, Hua Hua.”
“Xiao Yi Yi, your sister needs you urgently.”
“Empress Dowager,” he said, “I will obey your orders.”
“Woo ~~~ Xiao Yi Yi, I knew you were the best! Do you have time tomorrow?”
“Yes.”
“Then you will help me on a blind date.”
“Blind date? Why?” Long Ke Yi was confused.
“My parents are forcing me to give up on He Dong and have arranged a blind date for me tomorrow. I don’t want to go, so please help me. My parents won’t dare to do anything to you, anyway.”
“Sister, how can I help you with a man on a blind date?”
“My parents said that as long as the man refused me, they would no longer arrange a blind date for me in the future. You are a charming young man, so you can absolutely charm that man.”
“What if I can’t charm him?”
“Then you can help me destroy tomorrow’s blind date. Anyway, I’ll have to pretend to go there tomorrow. You go first. If you can’t get him, I’ll show up, and then you pretend to be my boyfriend so he can leave.”
“Well, what time tomorrow and where?”
“Wow, I love you so much, Xiao Yi Yi. Tomorrow at 11 am at the Italian restaurant on Central Road, table 14.”
“Well, if I can handle it, I’ll take the person away. If I can’t, I’ll wait for you.”
“Ok, I believe in you, Xiao Yi Yi.”
“I have nothing to say; only your family He Dong can stand you.”
“Anyway, let’s not look at who my He Dong is. A good family man who can’t compare with your scumbag Ji Yan Tang. They are nowhere near the same.”
“He … he is no longer mine. I gave him up. He Dong is really good. You have to hold him tight,” Long Ke Yi said with a bitter smile. Mentioning Ji Yan Tang, he still felt somewhat painful. After all, he had loved him for so many years.
He remembered that Hua Hua and He Dong had gone through many trials and tribulations before they had finally got together in the last life. Later, He Dong started a very successful business and became the CEO of a listed company. At that time, Ling’s enterprise, which was hit hard, was also saved by him. He only hoped that the two could have smoother sailing this time around.
There was a two-minute silence on the other end of the line, and then she suddenly yelled, “Real or fake?”
“Real, more real than gold.”
“You should have done this a long time ago. By the way, I saw him having an intimate meal with a man before, but I didn’t tell you, as I was afraid you’d go crazy.”
“I already know the man’s name is Mu Nan. He is Ji Yan Tang’s true love, so I gave up completely.”
“It’s good to dump that scumbag. I know you love him to death, but he is indifferent to you, doesn’t go out with you, and doesn’t want you to continue revolving around him.” Ling Lan Lan mentioned Ji Yan Tang with gritted teeth. She had never been optimistic about the love between her buddy and the indifferent man.
Long Ke Yi mocked himself. “He doesn’t want me around him. I guess I’ve always annoyed him.”
Lin Lan Lan was holding the phone in a complicated mood. She could see that Ji Yan Tang didn’t have Xiao Yi Yi in his heart, but this person was cold-hearted and might have been used to being chased by Xiao Yi Yi, so he would often do things that made him sad. However, she was determined not to tell him. In short, it was right to dump that slag man.
“It’s ok. With your beautiful flowery appearance, everyone will love you. You can definitely find a hundred-times better man than Ji Yan Tang, just like my Dong Dong.”
“Yeah right, if you want to praise your family, you can say it directly. As you promised, I hope I can find a really good man,” Long Ke Yi joked.
“You will definitely meet him; just believe my premonition. Ok, my mother is calling again. Speak tomorrow, bye.”
“Bye.”
Who else thinks her blind date will be Lan Mo? And I like this encounter and hope the blind date doesn’t become a stumbling block in the future.
Thanks for the chapter!
Yep, the next chapter should have an interesting (and quite funny) development.
From the synopsis: ” An accidental blind date mistake leads to a flash marriage to the number one diamond bachelor”
I’m definitely looking forward to the next chapters!
